Bury Agricultural Show

covid-19 update

Unfortunately due to Government guidance relating to COVID-19, the Trustees have had to make the decision to cancel this year’s Agricultural show on Sunday 28th June.

We have over the past few weeks been in regular contact with APHA, NWFSS and Bury Council to try to proceed with the show, but the safety of the organisers, volunteers, exhibitors, trade stands and the general public is obviously paramount.

Next year’s show will be on Sunday 27th June 2021.

Kind Regards
Karen Southwell

About Bury Show

There has been an agricultural show in Bury since 1943. The first Bury Agricultural Show was held during the Second World War as a way of encouraging local people to holiday at home and take advantage of what the region had to offer. It attracted over 8000 visitors, and ever since it has proved a popular annual event.

The show raises much-needed funds for local charities and provides hours of entertainment, competitions, breath-taking stunts, artisan produce, and a fine display of farm animals and tradespeople. The Show is affiliated to The Donkey Breed Association, The North West Federation of Show Societies, The Shire Horse Society and The Side Saddle Association.

We love coming to the Bury Show and seeing all the animals and trying lots of different food!
